A children's camp in Chechnya was cancelled due to a landslide.

The Gorny Benoy children's health camp in Chechnya canceled its first summer camp due to damage to a residential building in a landslide.

Facilities at the Gorny Benoy children's camp were damaged by a landslide in the Nozhai-Yurtovsky District of Chechnya. The camp's arrival for children from the first summer shift, scheduled for June 4, has been canceled, said camp director Ibrahim Khatayev.

"The residential building, the fence, and certain sections of the camp grounds were damaged. Due to the current situation, we are forced to cancel the first summer shift," TASS quoted him as saying.

The director noted that Gorny Benoy had planned to accommodate 2,500 children over the summer.

According to local authorities, landslides continue in the Nozhai-Yurtovsky district. Video footage distributed by officials shows deep cracks in the asphalt near the camp grounds.

In the last week of May, some residents of the Nozhai-Yurtovsky district experienced water supply interruptions after the main water main was damaged in several places due to landslides. The head of the district administration, Aslanbek Muzuruev, only reported on his Telegram channel on May 31 that all damage had been repaired.
