Kadyrov reported on the dispatch of the first pilgrims to the Hajj.

The first plane carrying pilgrims from Chechnya departed from Grozny Airport for Saudi Arabia.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," 3,500 pilgrims departed from Chechnya for the Hajj in 2025. The last group, which also included relatives and associates of Ramzan Kadyrov, departed for Saudi Arabia from Grozny Airport on May 31. Documents for the 2026 pilgrimage were accepted until the end of January.

About 200 people departed from Chechnya for Hajj on the first flight for pilgrims departing from Grozny airport. All pilgrims on the first flight are flying to Hajj for the first time. Their vouchers were paid for by the Akhmat Kadyrov Public Foundation, Ramzan Kadyrov announced on May 12.

"These are people who do not have the means to perform the Hajj. Furthermore, the first flight covers not only roundtrip travel expenses but also hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation to their destinations," the post states.

The decision to use the foundation's president, Ramzan Kadyrov's mother, Aimani Kadyrova, to pay for the first flight for low-income believers was made by the foundation's president.

At the airport, the pilgrims were seen off to Hajj by Chechen Mufti Salah Mezhiyev. In a recording posted by Kadyrov on his Telegram channel, the pilgrims thank him and Aimani Kadyrov in Chechen.
