The beach in Vityazevo has been removed from the emergency zone.

The section of beach where imported sand was first used has officially opened to visitors, the mayor of Anapa announced. Commenters on Telegram are dissatisfied with the quality of the sand and the residual oil pollution on the coast.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," the test section in Anapa, which was the first to be filled with imported sand, has received the necessary permits. The beaches of the "Vita" children's resort, the "Pearl of Russia" children's health complex, and the "Miracleon" hotel in the village of Vityazevo will be able to operate during the resort season. Previously, Krasnodar Krai authorities reported the start of filling the first three and a half kilometers of Anapa beaches with a 50-centimeter layer of sand in preparation for the resort season. At the beach in the village of Blagoveshchenskaya in Anapa, they are installing shelters and preparing the beach for opening, despite the fact that it has not been covered with new sand, bloggers reported.

Anapa Mayor Svetlana Maslova today signed a decree exempting a test section of beach in the Vityazevo district from the danger zone. This refers to a kilometer-long stretch of beach where a test technology for filling with imported sand was first used.

The decision was based on a conclusion by the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor, which confirmed that the beach meets sanitary standards and requirements.

"This means that the safety of the seawater and sand has been confirmed, and this section of the beach can be prepared for vacationers. Restoration of the remaining beach areas is currently underway using the same principle," the official wrote on her Telegram channel.

She also reported that sand delivery to the coastal section from the Medical Beach to the Anapka River, where 12 beaches are located, has been completed, and that backfilling is ongoing on the section from the Anapka River to the Bimlyuk Sanatorium. The Kuban Operational Headquarters, in turn, reported that the work is being carried out under "daily double supervision" by the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies and the Anapa administration.

The goal of opening the beaches will be achieved, despite the environmental damage, netizens previously suggested. Quarry sand will not solve the problem of fuel oil emissions, but will only temporarily conceal pollution on Anapa's beaches, environmentalists and activists have stated.
