Ruslan Asanov was born in the village of Chapayevo. After graduating from high school, he entered a technical school to become an auto mechanic. He served his military service in Kabardino-Balkaria in the border troops. After demobilization, he continued his military service, participating in the counter-terrorism operation in the North Caucasus Military District, and in 2024, he signed a contract to participate in combat operations in Ukraine.
