More than 2,400 flood victims in Dagestan received one-time financial assistance, and more than 1,200 people received compensation for property loss.

As of the morning of April 20, social security agencies transferred payments to 3,660 residents of Dagestan affected by the emergency, the republic's Ministry of Labor reported on its Telegram channel.

"Of these, 2,459 people received a one-time payment; 1,201 people received compensation for lost property. Payments are made immediately—immediately after receiving inspection reports from municipal emergency response commissions," the publication states.

About 1.5 million residents of Dagestan were caught in the devastating flood zone. Six residents of the republic, including three minors, died as a result of the flooding.
