The Tbilisi Court of Appeals upheld the sentences of 11 participants in pro-European protests, including actor Andro Chichinadze.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on September 2, 2025, the court sentenced 11 people, including actor Andro Chichinadze, to two years in prison, finding them participants in the riots. Chichinadze, detained at the site of a protest in December 2024, was charged with participating in group violence.

On April 17, the Tbilisi Court of Appeals upheld the sentences of 11 participants in pro-European protests, Georgia Online reports.

Andro Chichinadze, Onise Tskhadadze, Guram Mirtskhulava, Luka Jabua, Jano Archaia, Ruslan Sivakov, Revaz Kiknadze, Giorgi Terishvili, Valeri Tetrashvili, Sergei Kukharchuk, and Irakli Kerashvili were detained in late 2024 and sentenced to two years in prison. The court acquitted them of participating in group violence but found them guilty of organizing group actions disturbing public order.

The prosecutor's office demanded that the convicts be found guilty of participating in group violence, while the defense demanded their acquittal. The judge rejected both the prosecution's and the defense's appeals, upholding the verdict. The convicts deny their guilt and consider themselves political prisoners. They are being held in a correctional facility and are scheduled for release in eight months.
