Eight houses damaged by landslides in a Chechen village

In the village of Ilskhan-Yurt in the Kurchaloevsky District of Chechnya, a landslide occurred over a 200-meter stretch, damaging eight homes.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, more than 100 homes were completely destroyed and over 3,000 damaged during the flooding in Chechnya. Residents of the republic have filed 2,400 claims for compensation. By April 3, the water had receded from all flooded residential buildings and garden plots in Chechnya.

Landslides occurred in the village of Ilskhan-Yurt, affecting eight households, the Chechnya Today news agency reported, citing the Kurchaloyevsky District administration.

"As a result of adverse weather conditions that developed on March 28, 2026, landslides occurred in the village of Ilskhan-Yurt over a total length of 200 meters, affecting eight households. A working group immediately arrived at the scene and compiled a report on the damage. "Households are being monitored around the clock," the administration representative was quoted as saying in the statement.
