The name of the North Ossetian soldier killed in Ukraine has been released.

Georgy Thishev from the Mozdok district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 575 combatants from North Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by March 25, at least 574 servicemen from North Ossetia had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine. That day, the Mozdok district administration reported that 20-year-old Marik Vysotsky had been killed in Ukraine.

At least 4,384 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,519 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Georgy Thishev, a resident of the Mozdok District, was killed "while carrying out missions" in the combat zone in Ukraine, the municipal administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Thishev, who turned 27 in 2025, will be buried in Mozdok today, March 26. The officials' publication did not provide details of his biography or the circumstances of his death.

Thus, at least 575 soldiers from North Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Growing for Southern Russia".

The last time the death of a NVO participant from the Mozdok district was reported was on March 23, when authorities announced that Viktor Lezhava had been killed in Ukraine.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits", which describes the stories of fighters from other regions.
