Last night, the military destroyed drones over the Sea of ​​Azov.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of March 22, UAVs were destroyed in four districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. According to the Ministry of Defense, there are no injuries.

Last night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 249 Ukrainian drones, including over the Sea of ​​Azov, the Ministry of Defense reported on its website.

According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down outside the Southern Federal District: in the Moscow, Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Pskov, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions.

The ministry did not indicate how many drones were shot down in each region. As of 8:57 a.m. Moscow time, the Rostov Region Governor and the Kuban regional task force had not reported the airstrike on their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on January 14, an airstrike in Rostov-on-Don caused fires in homes and an industrial facility. One person died and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized. That day, the military reported shooting down 25 drones in the region.

Filming of airstrike events and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military unit locations is prohibited in the Rostov Region. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding governor's decree.

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Krai banned the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as the filming of air defense systems, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense systems. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding regional legislative assembly bill.
