Recently, a one-year-old child was hospitalized in a state of clinical death at the Arabkir Medical Center in Yerevan. Later, the Investigative Committee announced the opening of a criminal case for the attempted murder of the child and the arrest of one person. On March 18, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia announced the initiation of a public criminal prosecution against the child's stepmother, who was subjected to systematic physical abuse. She is charged with, among other things, systematically inflicting severe physical pain on a one-year-old child between January 22 and March 10, 2026. The woman has been arrested for two months, according to the publication.
