A court fined a Krasnodar resident in connection with a donation case to the FBK*.

Following a review of the case concerning donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation*, Krasnodar resident Dmitry Dyba was fined 300,000 rubles. The total amount of his donations was 1,050 rubles.

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that Krasnodar resident Dmitry Dyba wasaccused of financing an extremist organization for donating a thousand rubles to the Anti-Corruption Foundation*. At the end of May, the courtsentenced Dyba to eighteen months of forced labor. In July, the Krasnodar Regional Court overturned Dyba's sentence and sent the case back for a new trial.

The Prikubansky District Court of Krasnodar fined local resident Dmitry Dyba 300,000 rubles following a new trial on charges of financing extremist activity, the human rights project OVD-Info* reported, citing his lawyer.

Defense attorney Felix Vertegel recalled that Dyba was accused of making seven donations of 150 rubles each to the Anti-Corruption Foundation*, bringing the total amount of his donations to 1,050 rubles. 300,000 rubles is the minimum fine stipulated by the article.

The prosecutor's office representative, who initially requested a three-year sentence for Dyba, later changed his position and demanded a three-year prison sentence, according to the "Word in Defense" project.

Before the first sentence, which was overturned by the appellate court due to formal violations, Dyba was under travel restrictions.

* The Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) is included in the register of foreign agents, designated as extremist, and banned in Russia. The foundation's founder, Alexei Navalny, was added to the Rosfinmonitoring list of extremists and terrorists and was sentenced to 19 years in prison for extremism.
