Residents of a village in Ingushetia complained about the lack of street lighting.

Residents of the rural settlement of Sagopshi in the Malgobek District appealed to the head of the region, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, asking him to address the lack of energy infrastructure on Belkharoev Street.

According to the petitioners, the street is densely populated, home to many families with children and elderly people. Among the residents is the mother of two deceased sons. However, despite the presence of residential buildings, the street still lacks street lighting.

The villagers' appeal was published on March 5 by the News_Ingushetii Official Telegram channel, which has over 9,000 subscribers. By 5:30 a.m. Moscow time, the post had garnered nearly 700 views.

As noted in the appeal, outdoor lighting fixtures have never been installed on the street. At night, residents are forced to move around in complete darkness, which poses a safety hazard and increases the risk of accidents.

"We appeal to those in power. We, residents of the village of Sagopshi in the Malgobek District, live on Belkharoev Street. We have been without power for 20 years. We previously insisted on having a road built, and a sidewalk was started, but not finished. We also ask for streetlight poles and a transformer to be installed," a local resident says in the video.

Furthermore, some households lack the necessary power supply to connect to the power grid. As a result, people are forced to use unsafe methods of connecting to electricity, which can lead to accidents and fires.

"We are living on 'jumpers' and do not have sufficient power. The power is intermittent. Therefore, we ask you to help us with this issue," the villagers complained.

Residents requested a range of electrification work: construction of power lines, installation of a transformer substation, installation of utility poles, and provision of full-fledged street lighting.

"We contacted the village administration, but they told us they were unable to help due to their financial situation," they emphasized.

By 5:30 AM Moscow time, neither the Sagopshi village administration nor the head of Ingushetia had officially commented on the residents' complaint.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of the village of Barsuki in the Nazran District of Ingushetia are unable to get the administration to repair the road leading to the school. The head of the Investigative Committee ordered a criminal investigation. Residents of the village of Verkhnie Achaluki in the Malgobek District previously called the road condition on Sheripov Street catastrophic. Numerous appeals to the administration have been unsuccessful.
