The military shot down drones over the Black Sea.

The Ministry of Defense reported three drones shot down overnight over the Black Sea.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on February 24, the military shot down seven drones in the Krasnodar Territory and one in the Rostov Region. Five more drones were destroyed over the Black and Azov Seas.

Last night, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones, including three over the Black Sea, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down in Crimea, as well as in the Bryansk, Smolensk, Tula, Oryol, Kursk, Kaluga, Belgorod, and Moscow regions.

As of 9:43 a.m. Moscow time, the Kuban operational headquarters had not reported any drone attacks on its Telegram channel.

As a reminder, on February 20, as a result of a drone attack in Krasnodar, A person was injured and received first aid at the scene. According to authorities, the drone's debris fell near a garage cooperative "in the industrial zone," but private and multi-apartment residential buildings are located nearby.

On September 24, 2025, two people were killed and 14 others were injured after drones and unmanned boats attacked Novorossiysk and Tuapse. That day, people in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, and Sochi were ordered to leave the beaches, but in Sochi, some vacationers returned to the sea. Social media users called this behavior reckless.

Civilians in the coastal areas of Kuban resorts risk becoming accidental victims in attacks, so the evacuation of vacationers from the beaches was a justified measure, experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" confirmed.

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Territory imposed a ban on the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense operations, military facilities, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding regional legislative assembly bill.

In other regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, filming drone attacks and their aftermath is also prohibited. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
