A new drone attack occurred in southern Russia.

The military shot down seven drones in the Krasnodar Territory and one in the Rostov Region. Another five drones were destroyed over the Black Sea and the Sea of ​​Azov.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night, 15 drones were shot down in the Krasnodar Territory, one in the Rostov Region, and one in Adygea. The military destroyed another 15 drones over the Black Sea, and nine over the Sea of ​​Azov.

The Ministry of Defense reported a new drone attack on its Telegram channel. According to the ministry, of the 18 Ukrainian drones, seven were shot down in the Krasnodar Krai and one in the Rostov Region.

Four more drones were shot down over the Black Sea, and one over the Sea of ​​Azov. The rest were neutralized in the Belgorod, Saratov, and Samara Regions.

The Rostov Region Governor and the Kuban operational headquarters, as of 1:50 PM Moscow time, had not reported on the consequences of the attacks on their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on February 20, a man was injured in a drone attack in Krasnodar and received first aid on the spot. According to authorities, the drone's wreckage fell near a garage cooperative "in an industrial zone," but private and apartment buildings are located nearby.

On January 14, an aerial attack in Rostov-on-Don caused fires in homes and at an industrial facility. One person was killed and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized. That day, the military reported 25 drones shot down in the region.

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Territory imposed a ban on disseminating information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense operations, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, authorities in Kuban introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding regional legislative assembly bill.

The Rostov Region also has a ban on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military unit locations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding governor's decree.

Filming drone attacks and their aftermath is also prohibited in other regions of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
