Alexander Golovin from Nalchik was killed in a military operation in Ukraine. Since February 2022, at least 369 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been recognized as killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by February 8, at least 368 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The Kabardino-Balkaria branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation reported the death of Alexander Golovin in the military operation.

Alexander Golovin was born in January 1966 in Nalchik. In 1989, he graduated from the Irkutsk Higher Military Aviation Engineering School, receiving a degree in mechanical engineering. In February 2022, he volunteered for the war zone. In May 2024, he came under heavy artillery shelling and was killed, according to a statement on the foundation's Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 369 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. Caucasian Knot knows the names of 356 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.
