Residents of a house damaged by a drone attack in Volzhsky have been evacuated.

The building is currently cordoned off. Emergency services are conducting an inspection and damage assessment.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," a drone attack on "energy and civil infrastructure" facilities occurred in the Volgograd Region last night, the governor stated. In Volzhsky, roof damage was recorded on a building on Karbysheva Street, and a drone crashed on the grounds of the Yagodka kindergarten. Additionally, a fire broke out on the grounds of a factory in southern Volgograd.

"To ensure the safety of residents of the damaged building, their evacuation has been organized. A temporary accommodation center has been set up for the residents. "The apartment building's territory has been cordoned off, and emergency services are conducting a survey and damage assessment," the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

The area between the five-story building and the kindergarten has been cordoned off by police and the Russian National Guard. Children are temporarily being cared for at a nearby facility, Kindergarten No. 89 "Ogonyok." Utility workers are inspecting the entrance, according to Novosti Volgograda.ru.

"When [the drone] fell, even our chandelier shook," the newspaper quoted a resident of the damaged building in Volzhsky as saying.
