Homes in Kuban damaged by drone attack

Two houses in the village of Svobodny and two in the village of Severskaya were damaged as a result of a drone attack.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the morning of January 27, the Ministry of Defense reported five drones shot down in Kuban, which became the only region in southern Russia where a drone attack was recorded.

Four private houses were damaged in a drone attack in the Seversky District, the Kuban operational headquarters reported this morning on its Telegram channel.

There are no injuries, the report noted. "In the village of Svobodny, UAV debris damaged two private homes, shattering their windows. Another two were damaged in the village of Severskaya. In one case, the roof, ceiling, and floor were damaged, while in the other, the windows were shattered," authorities stated.

Lawyers point out that the ban on filming drone attacks contradicts the Constitution

In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense systems. A corresponding regional legislative assembly bill was published on the "Caucasian Knot."

As a reminder, residents of the villages of Afipskoye and Ilskoye in the Seversky District of Kuban, where oil refineries are located, regularly suffer from drone attacks. Thus, on January 21, according to authorities, drone fragments fell near a private home in the village of Afipsky.

On December 14, 2025, Kuban authorities reported that during a drone attack, "UAV debris" damaged five private homes in the village of Afipsky.

On December 1, 2025, as a result of a drone attack, 19 homes and a cell phone tower were damaged.

Oil refineries themselves have also been repeatedly attacked by drones. In particular, on November 29, 2025, as a result of an air strike, a fire broke out at a refinery in the village of Afipsky, and workers were evacuated. The fire was extinguished the same day.

On September 7, 2025, equipment at the Ilsky Oil Refinery caught fire as a result of an attack. Authorities reported promptly extinguishing the fire.
