The military shot down five drones in the Krasnodar region.

The Ministry of Defense reported five drones shot down in Kuban, the only region in southern Russia where a drone attack was recorded last night.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of January 26, 34 drones were shot down in Krasnodar Krai, and four more were destroyed over the Sea of ​​Azov. A drone attack injured a person at a business in Slavyansk-on-Kuban.

Last night, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones, including five in the Krasnodar Territory, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, three more drones were shot down over the Sea of ​​Azov, while the rest were shot down in the Kursk, Oryol, and Belgorod regions.

Lawyers point out that the ban on filming drone attacks contradicts the Constitution

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Krai introduced a ban on disseminating information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense operations, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding bill of the regional legislative assembly.

As a reminder, residents of the villages of Afipsky and Ilsky in the Seversky District of Kuban, where oil refineries are located, regularly suffer from drone attacks. For example, on December 14, 2025, Kuban authorities reported that during a drone attack, "UAV debris" damaged five private homes in the village of Afipsky.

The oil refineries themselves have also been repeatedly attacked by drones. Specifically, on November 29, 2025, an aerial attack caused a fire at the refinery in the village of Afipsky, and workers were evacuated. The fire was extinguished the same day.

On September 7, 2025, equipment at the Ilsky Oil Refinery caught fire as a result of an attack. Authorities reported promptly extinguishing the fire.
