A drone attack was recorded in the Rostov region.

Last night, the military shot down drones in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Donetsk, and three districts of the Rostov region.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," in Rostov-on-Don on January 14, an air strike caused fires in homes and at an industrial facility. One person was killed and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized with injuries. That day, the military reported shooting down 25 drones in the region.

Last night, drone attacks were recorded in five municipalities in the Rostov Region, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

"While repelling an air attack, UAVs were destroyed in the cities of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and Donetsk (Rossiya), as well as in the Kamenskoye, Matveyevo-Kurgansky, and Chertkovsky districts. No information about casualties or damage on the ground was received," he wrote.

As a reminder, on January 13, a woman was killed in an attack in Taganrog . Eight residential buildings, two industrial facilities, and six cars were also damaged. Authorities promised assistance to all victims.

Car damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did authorities determine the compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for a payment of up to 500,000 rubles for a damaged vehicle and up to a million for a destroyed one.
