Residents of a village in Dagestan asked Melikov to repair the hospital's facade.

Residents of the village of Dubki in Dagestan have appealed to the head of Dagestan with a request to repair the hospital's façade. The façade has never undergone major repairs since the village's founding.

The staff of the district hospital in the village of Dubki in the Kazbekovsky District, as well as residents of the village, have asked the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, for assistance in carrying out major repairs to the building's façade.

The appeal from the village residents was published today by the Telegram channel "Chernovik" 2.0, which has over 7,000 subscribers. By 9:00 PM Moscow time, the post had garnered over a thousand views.

"Dear Sergey Alimovich! On behalf of the entire staff of the district hospital in the village of Dubki, Kazbekovsky District, and on behalf of the village residents, we appeal to you in hopes of your assistance and support. A hospital has been operating in the village since 1974, serving residents. Since the village's founding (over 60 years), the hospital has never undergone major renovations, leaving it in a deplorable condition," the villagers write.

According to them, funds for major renovations to the hospital were only allocated in 2025, after which major renovations and interior finishing were completed. However, the hospital's appearance is depressing—its aged brick façade creates the impression of dilapidation.

"Considering that the village of Dubki is one of the most famous settlements in our republic, where a huge number of tourists from all over Russia and abroad come every year to admire the beauty of the Sulak Canyon, we consider it extremely important to carry out a major overhaul of the façade of the hospital building, located along the village's main street, which is used by tourists every day," the statement reads.

According to the hospital staff and residents, the renovation of the hospital building's façade will transform the appearance of the area adjacent to the main street and will also improve the village's appearance as a major tourist destination in the republic.

"We kindly ask you to assist us in resolving this issue," the applicants concluded.

Dubki is an urban-type settlement in the Kazbekovsky District of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It forms the municipality of Dubki, with urban settlement status as the only populated area within it. According to Rosstat's municipal census data as of January 1, 2025, the village had a population of 5,544.

"Kavkazsky Uzel" also reported that in August 2025, employees of the Central District Hospital in the Untsukulsky District appealed to deputies and Rosseti with a request to stop the regular power outages that were paralyzing service.
