A teenage girl was beaten by her peers in Adygea.

In Maykop, a 15-year-old schoolgirl was hospitalized after being beaten by five of her peers; police are conducting an investigation.

The girl's mother reported that on the evening of January 15, she was returning from school when five of her peers attacked her.

According to the mother, they jumped on her head, punched her, and kicked her. Boys stood nearby, filming the incident. A bloodied girl, unable to stand on her own, was saved by a passerby who carried her home, according to the "Ostorogno Novosti" Telegram channel.

The girl is currently on an IV drip; her kidneys and brain are damaged. The attackers' relatives have not yet contacted her mother, and the woman believes the case may be hushed up because one of the participants in the attack is the daughter of a high-ranking security official.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Adygea confirmed the incident, and police are conducting an investigation. All parties to the conflict have been identified; there are currently five people involved. The victim was hospitalized, TASS reported on January 18.

According to the press service of the Adygea Prosecutor's Office, the Maykop Prosecutor's Office has taken control of the investigation. A forensic medical examination has been ordered into the assault, the results of which will determine the severity of the injuries. The actions of the attackers will then be classified.
