Two districts of the Rostov region were in the zone of an air strike.

An airstrike was recorded last night in the Sholokhovsky and Kasharsky districts.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on January 14, an airstrike caused fires in homes and at an industrial facility in Rostov-on-Don. One person was killed and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized with injuries. The military reported 25 drones shot down in the region.

Last night, an airstrike was repelled in two districts of the Rostov Region – Sholokhovsky and Kasharsky, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

"No information about casualties or damage on the ground has been received," he wrote at 6:11 a.m. Moscow time. However, the official did not specify whether the airstrike involved drones or other means.

As a reminder, on January 13, a woman was killed in an attack in Taganrog . Eight residential buildings, two industrial facilities, and six cars were also damaged. Authorities promised assistance to all victims.

Car damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for them was not provided until December 2025. Taganrog resident Sergei Bondarenko, who lost his car in a drone attack, asked about compensation during a direct line with the governor. The result of the Taganrog resident's appeal was a decree on the procedure for paying compensation to car owners whose property was damaged as a result of drone attacks. The document provides for a payment of up to 500 thousand rubles for a damaged car and up to a million for a destroyed one.
