Information about a traffic accident involving Adam Kadyrov has spread across Chechen social media.

The motorcade of Ramzan Kadyrov's third son was involved in a traffic accident in Grozny. Adam Kadyrov and his entourage were injured, sources claim. Official media outlets subsequently refuted reports of UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev's death in the accident.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by the age of 17, Adam Kadyrov had received the positions of curator of the Russian Special Forces University, assistant to the head of Chechnya, curator of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs, secretary of the Chechen Security Council, and curator of aid to Palestine. On September 19, 2025, his father also instructed him to oversee the payment of property taxes by municipal organizations. On January 9, Adam Kadyrov promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that he would deliver him to Grozny for trial if he received the appropriate order from his father or Putin.

Reports of a traffic accident involving high-ranking Chechen officials in Grozny spread on social media this afternoon. Later, reports emerged that the accident involved Adam Kadyrov's motorcade.

An obstacle appeared in the path of the motorcade, which was traveling at high speed, causing several cars to collide with each other, the Chechen opposition movement claims, citing sources.

After the accident, streets in central Grozny were blocked off. The victim, presumably Adam Kadyrov, was taken to the republic's hospital, sources reported. However, there is no definitive and confirmed information about the condition of Kadyrov Jr., nor about the number and condition of the other injured.

The accident information was confirmed by several sources in Chechnya. Some of them reported that UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev was in the car with Adam Kadyrov at the time of the accident, according to sources from the Ingush publication Fortanga. However, the Chechen opposition movement, which initially disseminated information about the incident, did not confirm the information regarding Chimaev. Nevertheless, official Grozny decided to deny the reports about Chimaev, stating that the athlete is alive and well.

"Information about a fatal accident involving Chimaev is actively spreading on social media today. He is in Dubai. "He's doing well," said a source close to the athlete's entourage," the Chechnya Today news agency published this evening, without mentioning Adam Kadyrov.

Meanwhile, on Adam Kadyrov's Instagram* page, under his latest post with an appeal to Zelensky, comments appeared this evening from worried supporters asking for contact. "Adam, get in touch, tell me everything is okay," wrote, among others, djebydal. "Were you coming for Zelensky, I suppose?" suggested ilya_lis87_. "So, what's up? Did you deliver it?" asked anastasia_berkaeeva. Comments about Adam Kadyrov's fate can also be found under his father's latest Telegram post, among the similar comments praising Kadyrov and "Akhmat."

Caucasian Knot cannot yet confirm the sources' reports of a traffic accident involving Adam Kadyrov. There are no photos or videos from the scene of the accident on social media, although there are confirmed video reports of heavy traffic jams on the approaches to Grozny, which were recorded during daylight hours.

Kadyrov's associates have repeatedly been involved in serious traffic accidents in Chechnya, including fatal ones, but have never been held responsible for them. Caucasian Knot reported that in August 2025, a high-ranking Chechen official, a relative of Ramzan Kadyrov, was responsible for an accident that killed two people and seriously injured children. Authorities immediately forced the relatives of the victims to reconcile with him, human rights activists reported.

In 2018, social media users criticized Ramzan Kadyrov's response to an accident in Grozny involving his relative. Kadyrov made it clear that the official would not be punished for the accident that left three dead, and a few days after the accident, Kadyrov demanded that "the harshest measures be taken" against traffic violators. In 2019, an accident in Argun that left three dead also did not result in any consequences for the culprit—the son of a person close to Kadyrov.
