Chechen deputies approved the promotions of Akhmed Dudayev and Akhmat Kadyrov.

At its first meeting since the beginning of the year, the Chechen parliament agreed to appoint Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest son and Akhmed Dudayev, head of the Chechen Ministry of Nationalities and Information, as deputy prime ministers of the republic.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on January 5, Ramzan Kadyrov appointed his eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, and Akhmed Dudayev, head of the Chechen Ministry of Nationalities and Information, as acting deputy prime ministers of Chechnya. Both retained their current ministerial posts: Dudayev is the Minister of National Policy, External Relations, Press, and Information of Chechnya, and 20-year-old Akhmat Kadyrov has headed the Chechen Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports since May 2024.

Members of the Chechen parliament voted at a meeting on January 15 to appoint Akhmat Kadyrov and Akhmed Dudayev as deputy prime ministers of the republic. This was announced by the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

According to Kadyrov, the members of parliament "unanimously approved" both candidates—Akhmat Kadyrov and Akhmed Dudayev—for the positions of deputy heads of the Chechen government. Thus, both have dropped the prefix "acting" from their new titles.

“They are both well known for their consistent, meticulous work and ability to achieve concrete results,” Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel, praising the “professional path” and “management skills” of his son and the Minister of Press.

Almost the entire system of governance in Chechnya is tied personally to Ramzan Kadyrov and those close to him. Ramzan Kadyrov has 10 biological children – four sons (Akhmat, Zelimkhan, Adam, and Abdullah) and six daughters (Aishat, Karina (Khadizhat), Khedi (Khutmat), Tabarik, Ashura, and Eishat). Members of the Kadyrov clan have received over 150 awards since the start of the military operation in Ukraine. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has received at least 31 awards, with his son Adam in second place and his daughter Ayshat in third. By the age of 17, Kadyrov's third son, Adam, had received the positions of curator of the Russian Special Forces University, assistant to the head of Chechnya, curator of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs, secretary of the Chechen Security Council, and curator of aid to Palestine.

At a meeting on March 2, 2020, Ramzan Kadyrov himself called Chechen residents dissatisfied with the appointments of his relatives "goats" and "shaitans". Two weeks earlier, on February 14, 2020, the head of Chechnya noted that 97% of his relatives work as rank-and-file security officers.
