Two soldiers from Dagestan were killed in the SVO zone.

Akif Alipashayev and Galim Pashayev were killed in combat in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1,763 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by December 31, at least 1,761 fighters from Dagestan were officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

A memorial plaque was unveiled at the Nichras School in the Tabasaran District to Akif Alipashayev and Galim Pashayev, graduates of the school who died during the special military operation, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Akif Alipashayev left for the North Military District on July 5, 2024, and was a soldier of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment. He died on August 11, 2024, while performing combat missions in the Donetsk sector.

Galim Pashayev served from January 17, 2025, under contract as a rifleman in the 270th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District. He died on September 24, 2025, in the Zaporizhia region, the district administration clarified.

Northern Military District statistics: losses are mounting for southern Russia

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled within the framework of current laws and based on data provided by officials—from the governor to the head of a village, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies.

According to the "Caucasian Knot," by January 1, government and law enforcement officials had officially recognized at least 8,400 fighters from southern Russia as killed in the military operation: 4,151 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,249 from the Southern Federal District.
