Members of the Ingush Batalkhadzhin vird detained in three regions of Russia, according to investigators, had been committing apartment fraud for a long time, kidnapping and murdering their owners.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on December 30, the Russian FSB reported the detention of members of the Ingush Batalkhadzhin vird in Moscow, Ingushetia, and Chechnya, from whom a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized.

Details of an operation carried out by security forces against members of the community of Batal-Khadzhi Belkhoroev's followers have emerged. According to investigators, they had long been engaged in apartment fraud, kidnapping and murdering their owners, in other words, they were "black realtors," Kommersant reported on December 30.

According to the publication, the alleged criminal group included the brothers Aslan, Askhab, Ruslan, Yakub, Usman Mutsolgov, and others, who had been operating in Moscow since 2007. At the request of investigators, Aslan, Askhab, and Usman Mutsolgov were arrested. Ruslan Mutsolgov was briefly wanted for the murder of a businessman; he was detained in Moscow in October with forged documents and taken into custody. Yakub Mutsolgov has been under investigation since October 2024 for organizing a criminal organization of "black realtors." His criminal case is being heard by the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow.

It has also been revealed that Yakub Mutsolgov's accomplice is Alikhan Ozdoyev, who is a defendant in the 2019 murder case of Ibragim Eldzharkiev, head of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs' Center for Combating Extremism, and his brother.

In November 2024, the Batalkhadzhinsky group's involvement in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region was revealed. Khusein Medov and Dzhabrail Aushev were arrested on charges of illegal arms and explosives trafficking.

On January 16, Moscow's Basmanny Court remanded Batukhan Tochiyev and Ramazan Padiev into custody, accused in the terrorist attack that killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant on December 17, 2024. According to security officials, the natives provided a rented apartment to Uzbek citizen Akhmad Kurbanov, accused of murdering the general. Both Tochiyev and Padiev have pleaded not guilty, and their defense has appealed their arrest.

The Batalkhadzhin vird is seeking to improve its image under the close scrutiny of security forces, and it is unlikely that its representatives would have decided to participate in the high-profile murder of General Kirillov, analysts noted in January.

"The Batalkhadzhin vird once held influential positions in the republic, but after the murder of Center E chief Ibrahim Eldzharkiev, their influence sharply declined. Now their community is in a difficult situation," said journalist Izabella Evloeva.

"They are not active and have no influence. They even tried to clean up their act by creating a group to participate in the SVO. They tried to get on the right "A way, so to speak, to prevent further persecution," the Ingush public figure confirmed.
