Residents' homes in a Kuban village were damaged in a drone attack
A drone attack damaged five private homes in the village of Afipsky, where an oil refinery is located.
As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ," a drone attack caused a fire at an oil depot in Uryupinsk last night . Residents of nearby buildings were evacuated to a temporary hotel. According to preliminary authorities, there are no injuries.
In the village of Afipsky in the Seversky District, "drone debris" damaged five private homes, shattering their windows, the Kuban emergency response headquarters reported today on its Telegram channel.
"Debris was found at three locations—no damage, though in one case, an outbuilding was damaged. A power line was also downed," the publication states.
At another address, "UAV fragments caused a fire in the garden of a private home." "The fire was quickly extinguished. [...] There were no injuries among residents in any of the incidents. Special and emergency services are on the scene," authorities reported.
As a reminder, on November 13, during a drone attack in the village of Afipsky , windows were broken in four private homes , a gas pipe, and a passenger car were damaged.
On the night of September 26, a fire also broke out at the Afip Oil Refinery . On October 29, 2023, before the fire at the Afip Oil Refinery, according to eyewitnesses, the sound of an explosion was heard.
The proximity to the oil refinery also poses problems for residents of the village of Ilsky in the Seversky District. On December 1, a drone attack damaged 19 homes and a cell phone tower. Authorities have promised to provide necessary assistance to residents.
On November 19, 17 residential buildings and two stores were damaged in the village of Ilsky . According to the emergency response center, this was caused by falling drone debris. There have also been incidents involving drone attacks at the oil refinery itself. For example, on September 7, equipment at the Ilsky oil refinery caught fire as a result of an attack. Authorities reported promptly extinguishing the fire.
