Chechnya has been hit by a drone attack for the third time in six days

As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ," drones were shot down in three municipalities in the Rostov region last night. A power transmission tower was damaged in the Sholokhovsky district, leaving 250 residents of the Kolundaevsky village without power .
A drone attack threat was announced overnight in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, and Stavropol Krai.
Last night, 77 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed, including 12 in the Rostov region, nine in the Volgograd region, one in the Astrakhan region, and one in Chechnya, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.
According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down in the Saratov and Belgorod regions and in Crimea.
The "Carpet" plan at Vladikavkaz Airport and in Mozdok has also been cancelled.
The drone strike threat has been cancelled in Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, and Stavropol Krai, the heads of these regions announced in their Telegram channels between 7:31 and 7:49 Moscow time. According to official data, today's drone attack was the third in Chechnya since early December. The day before yesterday, on December 5, several floors of a tower in the Grozny City business center were damaged by an explosion. Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed sources that the high-rise complex was damaged by a Ukrainian drone .
On December 2, four drones were shot down over Chechnya. That day, Chechnya became the only region in the North Caucasus Federal District to record a drone attack, despite restrictions imposed due to flight safety concerns at airports not only in Grozny but also in Vladikavkaz, Magas, Makhachkala, and Nalchik.
Chechnya suffered its first drone attack since the start of the military operation on October 29, 2024, resulting in a fire at a building on the grounds of the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes. The second attack occurred on December 4, 2024, in Grozny, and the third on December 12, 2024. On that day, a drone was shot down over the Ministry of Internal Affairs barracks in Grozny, injuring four guards. In August 2025, the military shot down drones in the Shelkovsky and Nadterechny districts. There were no casualties or damage, the head of Chechnya reported. The "Caucasian Knot" news agency prepared a report, " Drone Attacks on Chechnya ."
