Two contract soldiers from the Astrakhan region were killed in combat.

Authorities and security forces have officially named at least 3,979 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,028 from the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Zhalgas Iraliev and Mansur Yakubov were killed in the military operation, the Volodarsky District administration reported on its Telegram channel on November 21.

Zhalgas Iraliev was born in 1990. After completing his compulsory military service in 2010, he signed a contract and served in the Astrakhan region. After the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, he "continued his service in the special military operation zone." He was killed on November 14, 2025, "while performing a combat mission," the publication states.

Mansur Yakubov, born in 1999, signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in August 2019. From February 2022, he participated in the military operation as a squad commander. He was killed on November 11, 2025, according to district authorities.
