A volunteer from Dagestan was killed in Ukraine.

Timur Khatipov from the Kizlyar region was killed in action. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,684 Dagestan combatants killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 18, at least 1,683 Dagestan combatants had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The Dagestan administration announced today on its Telegram channel that Timur Khatipov, a volunteer from the Kaspiy Battalion, had been awarded the Order of Courage.

"The serviceman was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously. Today, Sergei Melikov presented the order to his wife, Zarema Omarova," the statement read.

Thus, at least 1,684 Dagestan servicemen have been officially recognized as killed in the combat zone in Ukraine. The Caucasian Knot maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list is based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Growing for Southern Russia." Caucasian Knot also reported that at least six residents of the village of Goyty in the Urus-Martan District of Chechnya were killed in the combat zone in Ukraine on the same day. However, the republic's authorities rarely release data on casualties at the front.
