A Volzhsky resident has been charged with making a false bomb threat against a residential building.

Volgograd emergency services received a call about a bomb threat in a high-rise building. A previously convicted Volzhsky resident was arrested for making a false report; he admitted making the call while intoxicated.

Security officials arrested a Volgograd region resident for making a false report about an impending explosion in the city.

According to police, an anonymous caller reported an explosion was about to occur in a Volgograd apartment building the previous day. Emergency services and canine units responded to the scene of the alleged incident, but no dangerous objects were found, Vysota102 reported on November 3. The caller was identified as a 29-year-old resident of Volzhsky with a history of multiple criminal convictions. He stated that the building he had indicated was the location of the organization where he had previously worked. He also admitted to being intoxicated when he made the call. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 207 of the Russian Criminal Code (deliberately making a false report of an act of terrorism).

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of May, a 16-year-old college student in the Dubovsky District was accused of making a false report of a bomb threat against an educational institution.
