The names of two Dagestani soldiers killed in Ukraine have been released.

Gazimagomed Onkochev from the Gunib district and Ramis Dzhafarov from Dagogney were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly acknowledged at least 1,625 Dagestani servicemen killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by October 28, at least 1,623 fighters from Dagestan had been officially acknowledged as killed in the military operation.

The details of two more Dagestani combatants killed in Ukraine have emerged from district administration reports on the presentation of posthumous awards to their relatives. Gazimagomed Onkochev from the village of Nakazukh was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the Gunib district administration announced on its official Telegram channel.

The mayor of Dagestanskiye Ogni posthumously presented the same award, the Order of Courage, to the wife and son of Ramis Dzhafarov, who was killed in Ukraine, according to a publication on the municipality's channel. Officials are not providing the ages of the dead or details of their biographies.

Thus, at least 1,625 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
