A contract soldier from the Astrakhan region was killed in combat.

Anatoly Yarizov was killed in combat in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 637 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been recognized as killed in it.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by October 25, at least 636 fighters from the Astrakhan region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The number of fighters from southern Russia killed in Ukraine has reached 7,800

At least 3,857 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,943 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Anatoly Yarizov, born in 1988, was killed in the military operation, the Volodarsky District Administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Yarizov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and has been missing in action since April 20, 2025. A farewell ceremony for him took place on October 25, the publication states.

Thus, at least 637 soldiers from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The Caucasian Knot maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
