A man who desecrated the Eternal Flame was arrested in the Krasnodar region.

A man desecrated the Eternal Flame in the village of Zassovskaya in Krasnodar Krai. By court order, he was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest.

Today, the Labinsky District Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report from the head of the village that an unknown man was committing unlawful acts at the Eternal Flame at the "Mass Grave" monument in the village of Zassovskaya.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found that the man had lit a cigarette from the Eternal Flame and had also committed indecent acts, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnodar Krai reported on its Telegram channel.

"The perpetrator turned out to be a 44-year-old local resident with a previous conviction, who explained that he had no intention of insulting anyone and that he had committed the act while intoxicated. By the court's decision, the Kuban resident received five days of administrative arrest under Article 20.1 (petty hooliganism) 1 ," the department's statement said.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that the Krasnodar Regional Court had sentenced him to a suspended sentence.
