A suspect in the Stavropol explosion case has been detained.

A man involved in the explosion of an explosive device at a bus stop in Stavropol has been detained and is undergoing questioning, law enforcement sources reported.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," an explosion occurred this evening at a trolleybus stop near a military unit of the 247th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment. One woman was injured and hospitalized with injuries. The explosive device was planted in a baby stroller, sources reported.

Security forces have detained a man suspected of involvement in the explosion in Stavropol. He is already being questioned, TASS reported, citing a source in the emergency services.

According to the agency, investigative actions are ongoing at the scene of the incident - part of Serov Street has been cordoned off, and half the roadway is blocked. Kommersant's sources also confirmed the suspect's detention.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, the man was detained relatively close to the explosion site and "taken to the military unit for questioning." Investigators are considering the possibility that "Ukrainian representatives forced him to carry out the explosion," RT reported, citing a source.
