Two contract soldiers from the Astrakhan region were killed in combat.

At least 7,700 fighters from southern Russia have been officially acknowledged as killed during the special military operation, including 3,823 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,877 from the Southern Federal District.

Vasily Kvasov and Ruslan Bergaliev were killed in the military operation, the Volodarsky District administration reported on its Telegram channel on October 20.

Vasily Kvasov was born in 1980 in the village of Volodarsky and lived in Akhtubinsk. He signed a contract on January 22, 2025, and was killed on February 27 "while performing a combat mission."

Ruslan Bergaliev, born in 1969, signed a contract in March 2025 and was killed on April 16, the report states.

Thus, at least 635 soldiers from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
