Two soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria were killed in Ukraine.

Tahir Gekkiev and Andrei Grebenshchikov from the Elbrus district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly acknowledged at least 306 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by October 16, at least 304 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria had been officially acknowledged as killed in Ukraine.

The names of two more soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria killed in Ukraine were revealed in a report by the Elbrus district administration on the transfer of posthumous awards to their relatives.

Tahir Gekkiev and Andrei Grebenshchikov were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, according to the municipality's official Telegram channel. The ages of the killed fighters and details of their biographies were not provided in the officials' publication.

Thus, at least 306 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 293 of them, while the deaths of another 13 were revealed in the republic's government report on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

The "Caucasian Knot" is maintaining a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
