The former head of a village in Kabardino-Balkaria is suspected of official forgery.

A criminal case of official forgery has been opened against the former head of the village of Vtoroy Lesken, who, according to investigators, illegally registered a land plot to an acquaintance.

The case against the former head of the administration of the rural settlement of Vtoroy Lesken in Kabardino-Balkaria is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery).

According to investigators, the official, by submitting fictitious documents, registered a land plot located within the Leskensky District to an associate. The former official faces up to four years in prison, Interfax reported on September 30.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" wrote that in January 2024, the acting head of the Nalchik administration's Department of Road Management and Improvement and his subordinate were suspected of official forgery. According to the investigation, they demanded the transfer of 52 million rubles to a company associated with them under the pretext of road repairs, when the work was not fully completed.
