Fires broke out in two regions of the Southern Federal District after drone attacks.

Drone attacks were recorded overnight in five districts of the Rostov Region, resulting in wildfires. Drone attacks in the Volgograd Region also resulted in fires, and power was disrupted in three towns.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on September 28, drones were shot down in the Morozovsky, Kasharsky, and Sholokhovsky districts of the Rostov Region. According to the governor, there were no injuries.

Last night, air defense forces destroyed and intercepted UAVs in the Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Kamensky, Chertkovsky, and Sholokhovsky districts, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

The attack in the Chertkovsky district "caused grass to catch fire in a field," the official noted. "The fire was quickly extinguished there. In the Tarasovsky district, in the Kryvyi Rih forestry, two ground fires broke out. Both were contained by the morning. No one was injured," he wrote at 5:47 a.m. Moscow time.

In the Svetloyarsky district, power supply to three settlements was cut off.

A "massive attack" by drones was also recorded in the Volgograd region, reported Governor Andrey Bocharov .
"As a result of the fall of UAV debris on the outskirts of Volgograd, two large dry vegetation fires were recorded, which were quickly extinguished by firefighting forces. In the Svetloyarsky district, power supply to three settlements was cut off, repair crews are working on the power line. According to preliminary information, there is no damage to buildings and no injuries," the report said. As a reminder, on the night of September 27, drone attacks were recorded in six districts of the Rostov Region: Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Milyutinsky, Kasharsky, Kamensky, and Krasnosulinsky. In the Tarasovsky District, a fire occurred at a gas distribution station. No one was injured, the governor reported. According to the Ministry of Defense, 27 drones were shot down that night in the Rostov Region.

On September 24, two people suffered shrapnel wounds in the village of Bazkovskaya, Sholokhovsky District, as a result of a drone attack. They were taken to the hospital.
