Sochi Airport has resumed operations.

Two planes en route to Sochi were diverted to alternate airfields during restrictions at the resort city's airport. Residents of the Belorechensky District of Kuban reported explosions.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," last night, Rosaviatsiya restricted the arrival and departure of planes from Sochi Airport; at least ten flights were delayed. A drone threat has been in effect throughout the Krasnodar Krai since the evening of September 24.

Restrictions on the arrival and departure of flights from Sochi Airport have been lifted, Rosaviatsiya spokesman Artem Korenyako announced. "Two planes diverted to alternate airfields during the restrictions," he wrote on his Telegram channel at 4:01 a.m. Moscow time.

Residents of the Belorechensky District of Krasnodar Krai reported explosions overnight. A video published by the Telegram channel ASTRA (listed as a foreign agent by the Russian Ministry of Justice) also shows flashes in the sky and a glow. According to local residents, they heard five or six explosions after 2:30 a.m. Moscow time, SHOT reports.

The Krasnodar Krai Emergency Alert Center issued a UAV threat alert for the entire region at 10:26 p.m. Moscow time on September 24. Meanwhile, Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov announced a drone threat to the city at 2:38 a.m. Moscow time, and at 4:54 a.m. Moscow time, he announced that the alert had been cancelled for Krasnodar, according to publications from the Kuban Operational Headquarters.

Residents and tourists in Sochi, Gelendzhik, and the Tuapse district were ordered to leave beaches and embankments on the afternoon of September 24 due to the threat of drone attacks from the sea and air. In Sochi, some vacationers returned to the sea, despite the fact that the threat of drone attacks was not cancelled. Social media users called this behavior reckless. Access to Sochi beaches is closed until midday on September 25.
