A mass evacuation of people from beaches has been announced in the Krasnodar region.

Residents and tourists in Sochi, Gelendzhik, and the Tuapse region have been ordered to leave beaches and embankments due to the threat of drone attacks from the sea and air.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," following a drone attack on central Novorossiysk, two people were killed and six more were injured. Among the wounded were two employees of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

Amid drone attacks in the Krasnodar Territory, people are being evacuated from beaches in Sochi as a preventative measure. "In connection with today's attacks (...) on the Krasnodar Territory using unmanned boats in the Black Sea, the Sochi city task force has decided to take preventative measures – evacuate beachgoers," Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin wrote on his Telegram channel.

Ukrainian unmanned boats have been spotted in the Black Sea near Tuapse, Sergey Boyko, head of the Tuapse District, warned local residents. "We kindly request that residents and visitors of the Tuapse District leave the coastal strip!" he wrote on his Telegram channel.

A warning of attack by unmanned boats is in effect in Gelendzhik, Mayor Alexey Bogodistov announced on his Telegram channel. "All watercraft are prohibited from entering the sea," he wrote. Local residents are advised to leave the beaches and waterfront. "Take shelter indoors, if possible, go to the basement or ground floor. Don't go near windows. Don't use cars for cover," Bogodistov urged.

As a reminder, on September 10, the mayor of Novorossiysk warned residents about an attack by unmanned boats. Following this, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of an unmanned boat sent from Ukraine in the Black Sea.

That same day, due to the threat of a drone attack in Novorossiysk, people were evacuated from the beaches in Shiroka Balka, Abrau-Dyurso, and Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka. Vacationers were also evacuated from the beaches of Sudzhuk Spit and Aleksino. During an airstrike on Novorossiysk, fragments of a drone struck an uninhabited building on the outskirts of the resort village of Shiroka Balka.
