Participants in attack on security officer in Magas placed under house arrest

Two Abadiyev brothers have been placed under house arrest after beating up a former police officer in Magas. Law enforcement agencies have not reported the arrest of other participants in the attack.

As reported by "Kavkazsky Uzel", on September 9, a group of armed men used violence against a resident of Magas, who had previously worked in the internal affairs agencies. Investigators linked the attack "to the performance of his official duties during his service." According to sources, 41-year-old Bashir Aushev, who had previously worked in the criminal investigation department, detained one of the participants in the attack, and he "decided to get even."

The Magas District Court in Ingushetia has ordered a preventive measure for two suspects in the case of an attack on a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The suspects are residents of Magas, brothers Issa (31) and Dzhabrail Abadiyev (35).

Both brothers, detained on September 12, were placed under house arrest until November 11. According to a court representative, during interrogation after their detention, the Abadiyevs admitted their guilt. They confirmed the investigation's version that the motive for the attack was criminal prosecution - the beaten security officer, working in the criminal investigation department, solved the crime of the eldest of the brothers, Interfax-Yug reports.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the victim, Bashir Aushev, detained one of the attackers in 2020; the case concerned robbery and drug trafficking. Aushev is now a military man; some time ago, he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and went to the combat zone in Ukraine.

According to a video from the scene, the security officer was in military uniform at the time of the attack. At least ten people took part in the attack, but law enforcement agencies have not reported the detention of any other alleged participants.
