United Russia Wins Elections to City Dumas in Stavropol Krai

Representatives of the United Russia party gained from 52 to 67 percent of the votes during the elections to the Dumas of Stavropol, Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Pyatigorsk.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, in the municipal elections in the South of Russia the main intrigue is how many seats the parties competing with United Russia will receive in the city Dumas. The military operation in Ukraine, despite regular drone attacks on the southern regions, was practically not affected by candidates for posts at various levels, analysts noted.

The Central Election Commission of Russia published on its website the results of the voting in the early elections of deputies of the Stavropol City Duma. 64.72% of voters cast their ballots for representatives of United Russia; 10.62% - the Communist Party of the Russian Federation; 9.66% - the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia.

In the elections to the Duma of the city of Yessentuki, candidates from United Russia received 53.19%; members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 19.96%; LDPR representatives - 13.25%. Voters who cast their ballots in Zheleznovodsk gave 52.91% of their votes to United Russia; 19.86% to LDPR representatives; 13.37% to A Just Russia - For Truth. United Russia candidates for the Kislovodsk Duma received 66.75% of the votes; CPRF representatives - 11.65%, LDPR members - 8.25%. In Pyatigorsk, 67.08% of voters voted for United Russia, 10.23% for the CPRF, and 9.13% for the LDPR.

The chairman of the Stavropol Krai election commission, Sergei Tarasov, announced that the elections in all 24 municipalities were recognized as valid, and 100% of the protocols were processed. The turnout was 45.57%, with over 640,000 voters casting their ballots, Interfax reports.
