37 Azerbaijani families returned to two villages in Khojaly and Aghdere districts

37 families of former refugees returned to the village of Khanyurdu in the Khojaly region and the village of Vengli in the Aghdere region.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on August 11, the Azerbaijani authorities reported on the return of 19 families of former internally displaced persons to the village of Khanyurdu, they received keys to their apartments.

Another group of displaced persons returned to the village of Khanyurdu (Khanyurdu) in the Khojaly region on September 9 - 15 families, 46 people who previously lived in hostels, sanatoriums and administrative buildings on the territory of Azerbaijan. The resettlers were given the keys to new houses, Oxu.az writes.

Currently, 69 families consisting of 237 people live in the village.

Also on September 8, resettlement took place in the village of Vengli in the Agdere region. 22 families with 81 internally displaced persons have returned here.

Recall that on November 10, 2023, the Azerbaijani authorities announced that they plan to resettle 140,000 people to the territories of Karabakh that have come under Baku's control by 2026.

Azerbaijani internally displaced persons complained about the difficulties of returning to Karabakh. In particular, they noted that there are not enough jobs in Fizuli. People are looking for opportunities to return to their native places, but in the territories that came under the control of Azerbaijan, property issues have not yet been resolved, the displaced persons noted.
