Almost a third of the water samples taken in Dagestan do not meet standards, and an outbreak of intestinal infection was prevented in Makhachkala, the Rospotrebnadzor administration reported in response to criticism in Telegram about inaction in monitoring the condition of the water.

Rospotrebnadzor especially focused on the state of the water in Makhachkala. Thus, the author of the Telegram channel "Ask Rasul" noted today that the regional Rospotrebnadzor is trying to show off its muscles on private business, although the republic has an acute problem with water. "We propose to analyze the drinking water in Makhachkala that flows from the tap," he wrote.

Earlier, "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote that after mass poisoning in early July in five villages of the Magaramkent district (Magaramkent, Kuysun, Gilar, Gaptsakh and Verkhniy Tagirkent), an official responsible for housing and utilities was detained.
