The court sent a 90-year-old pensioner for examination in Krasnodar in a case of indecent acts

The decision to conduct an inpatient psychiatric examination of the pensioner from the village of Dinskaya was made despite arguments about his serious condition. At the same time, the court refused to question the 90-year-old man's attending physician, and also rejected the request to postpone the examination until his condition improves.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, teenagers in Kuban accused a 90-year-old pensioner from the village of Dinskaya of indecent acts, who was relieving himself near his dacha. The man is blind in one eye and has only 10 percent vision in the other, he insists that he did not see the teenagers on the pier 20 meters away from him. According to the lawyer, the pensioner faced pressure and threats, and investigators forced him to admit guilt. On August 5, the pensioner's relatives said that his health had worsened significantly due to the persecution. The pensioner does not get out of bed, the investigative actions were carried out at home. They want to forcibly place him in an expert institution for an inpatient examination, the lawyer said.

The court granted the investigator's motion to conduct an inpatient psychiatric examination of the 90-year-old suspect in indecent acts. The sexologist did not have enough outpatient examination to establish the presence/absence of a sexual disorder, the suspect's lawyer Alexey Avanesyan said on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the court rejected all the defense's motions. "The defense's motions to interrogate the sexologist and the grandfather's attending physician (who recently inserted a catheter into the bladder), who recommended bed rest, were denied. The court also did not consider it necessary to place the suspect in a hospital after his health improves a little. The investigation period expires in a few days, there is no extension in the case - but this did not bother the court," he noted.

The decision that was just announced is subject to immediate execution, the lawyer said. "And this means that at any moment an old sick man, who is only suspected of committing a crime solely on the testimony of teenagers and that same 8-second recording posted online, can be forcibly pulled out of bed and taken to Krasnodar for at least a month," the lawyer said on September 2.

The pensioner is a former physics teacher, his 86-year-old wife is also a teacher, she worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature all her life. Relatives describe the pensioner as a caring husband and loving father. “We are used to teaching our children honesty and responsibility, but now we ourselves have become victims of a monstrous misunderstanding,” his wife told the “Caucasian Knot” earlier.
