Rospotrebnadzor found no deviations in the air after extinguishing a fire at a market in Volgograd

The fire at the Volgograd Natsionalny market was completely extinguished by the evening of August 30, after which no excess of permissible concentrations of hazardous substances was recorded in the air.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the Natsionalny market burned down in Volgograd, 14 people sought medical assistance. Rospotrebnadzor found significant excesses of the maximum permissible concentrations of hazardous substances in the air after the fire. Entrepreneurs who traded at the market estimated their losses at millions of rubles.

The fire at the Volgograd market was completely extinguished at 21:54 Moscow time on August 30, the Volgograd Region Emergency Situations Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.

"The Rospotrebnadzor Office for the Volgograd Region, after extinguishing an open fire at the clothing market in the Traktorozavodsky District of Volgograd on Mikhailova Street, 3, monitored the state of the atmospheric air in the nearby residential area in the evening of August 30.

According to the results of the study, no excess of maximum permissible concentrations of the substances being determined was detected," the department's website said.

"Kavkazsky Uzel" also wrote that on August 28, 2022, a fire occurred at the Lyudmila market in Volzhsky. 153 people were evacuated from the market. By 19:35 Moscow time, firefighters had localized the fire over an area of 7,000 square meters. The next morning, Emergencies Ministry employees extinguished the fire.

The entrepreneurs who rented space at the Lyudmila market in Volzhsky, did not insure their goods and do not believe that they will be able to recover damages through the courts. Some entrepreneurs suffered damages ranging from 300,000 to 3 million rubles; many took out loans to develop their businesses.
