Ex-Minister of Defence of Georgia Okruashvili announced into search

The General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has officially announced a search of Irakliy Okruashvili, ex-Minister of Defence of Georgia and leader of the opposition party "Movement for United Georgia".

According to the latest information, Mr Okruashvili is now in Germany, and the authorities of Georgia are going to apply to the Interpol for his detention, the IA "Georgia Online" reports. Georgiy Tortladze, a party colleague of the former Minister of Defence, has noted that Okruashvili can apply for political asylum in one of the countries.

The State Office of Public Prosecutor informs that the decision to announce Okruashvili into search was made after the decision of the City Court of November 14 to change Okruashvili's freedom restriction measure from bale to arrest.
