15 Maikop residents moved to temporary accommodation after fire in multi-story building

Residents of a multi-story building were forced to stay in temporary accommodation centers after a fire damaged about 30 apartments.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on August 13, residents of the 16-story building on Opolchenskaya Street, on which the UAV debris fell, authorities allowed to return to their apartments, 

15 out of 140 residents of an apartment building in Maykop decided to use temporary accommodation centers that were organized on the basis of the city's hotels. They were provided with food and household items for the night.

The fire occurred on the evening of August 12 in a building on Deputatskaya Street. Residents were evacuated. As a result of the fire, the roof of the building was destroyed, and about 30 apartments on the upper floors were damaged. There were no fatalities or injuries. The preliminary cause of the fire is careless handling of fire while smoking, Kommersant reports.

Residents whose apartments were damaged in a fire in a multi-story building in Maykop will be provided assistance, promised the head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov in a Telegram channel.

“We will not leave people alone with the problem — we will definitely take on the restoration of the roof of the apartment building and common property. I also instructed to work out options and conditions for providing assistance to the owners of apartments damaged by fire and flooding,” Kumpilov wrote on August 13.
