Mobilized from North Ossetia killed in Ukraine

Georgy Dzagoyev from the Pravoberezhny District was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have officially named at least 472 killed combatants from North Ossetia.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by August 7, officials and security forces publicly acknowledged that more than 7,150 servicemen from southern Russia had been killed in the war zone in Ukraine, including 471 from North Ossetia.

Georgy Dzagoyev, 33, a native of Georgia who had lived in the village of Khumalag in North Ossetia since the age of two, was killed in the war zone in Ukraine in July 2025. He leaves behind two daughters, the Pravoberezhny District administration reported on August 13.

Dzagoev was mobilized in 2023. By this time, he already had the status of a combat veteran: in 2008, when Dzagoev was called up for military service, he visited “hot spots,” according to a message on the official Telegram channel of the municipality.
